Venue[edit]

22/23 October; GWDG Göttingen

Background[edit]

One of the big issues in research is to combine data from different sources and to make it available in a way that is suitable for scientific investigations. For this it is crucial to bridge semantic encoding differences, e.g. with ontologies, but such ontologies are often very project specific. Therefore, the ISO tries to solve this problem with open and flexible concept registries, whose content can be linked by scientist according to their needs. This approach also has a great potential for the Max Planck Society.
