A small glossary for the used terms can be found under Miscellaneous.

The general eSciDoc depended administrative tasks are also applied to the ViRR solution.

UC_VR_UM_01 Log on to the system[edit]

Status/Schedule

  • Status: implemented
  • Schedule: R2

Motivation

  • A user needs to log on to the system to act according to his privileges as “Editor”.

Steps

  1. The user chooses to log on to the system.
  2. The system prompts for the user-name and a password.
  3. The user enters his user-name, the password and confirms the input.
  4. The system checks whether the combination of user-name and password is valid and the account user is active.
  5. The combination is valid and the account user is active. The system logs the user on and displays a message (MSG_VR_UM_01). The use case ends successfully.

Alternatives

5.a The combination is not valid or the account user is not active. The system displays a message (MSG_VR_UM_02), continue with Step 3.
