Moderator Workspace[edit]

moderator can see all items, which s/he has privilege as moderator
moderator can restrict the view on a specific collection and to a specific organizational unit or any child of the organizational unit

Shall we only take the org units from context (Problem: items added for other org units are lost in space, because they stay submitted and are never displayed in Moderator Workspace) ? --Haarlaender 12:07, 27 May 2008 (CEST)

Filters at present do not allow for org units. Items which are submitted are not indexed for searching in build 0.159. For first implementation of moderator workspace the constraints are: users can filter items by collection only. --Natasa 10:34, 28 May 2008 (CEST)

the default sorting is descending by date of creation/last change of the item, so that the newest entry is listed first

Questions/Needs of a moderator of the MPIPL[edit]

Not certain, I would opt for 2 workspaces already now or somehow then we have to prevent that moderators are not depositors. --Natasa 10:36, 28 May 2008 (CEST)

Which items have been entered for the MPIPL?

Which items have been entered for a special department/project of the MPIPL?

previous two are not possible, as filters are not so reach as search possibilities. Submitted items are not released and therefore are not indexed for searching in build 0.159. We have to check if this is possible in last FW builds. --Natasa 10:41, 28 May 2008 (CEST)

Show only the items, which I didn't check yet (for metadata quality reasons), show me the items I have checked yet, show me all items.

Translated, this would mean 3 options: a) show me items in status submitted in selected collection for which current user is a moderator; b) show me items in status released in selected collection for which current user is a moderator; c) show me all items (both submitted, released status) in selected collection for which current user is a moderator --Natasa 10:41, 28 May 2008 (CEST)

The previous discussion is no longer valid, as we decided to go for standard modification workflow (i.e. submit->release)

It should be possible to sort the item list by date of creation of the item. The newest item should be listed first.

correction - would propose only sort by date of last modification, this is the valid date - while item is in status pending users can create it on date A and submit it on date D. Between A and D there may be several modifications of the item by the depositor while in status pending. Therefore my proposal is only to take care of the date of last modification. The same is if moderator wants to see items in "released" state. --Natasa 10:41, 28 May 2008 (CEST)
