| The specialty of imeji is that is does not only store and share items, but that it also stores and shares the metadata values of the items. Metadata is not just restricted to free defined tags, but are maintained in a standardized manner that allows an advanced search based on metadata profiles. Therefore, items are easily retrievable. Further on, it offers persistent albums which can be cited in publications.
