The eDoc Citation Style[edit]
Overall Rules[edit]
- Creators are always presented in the following order: Firstname Lastname. E.g. Nicole Kondic
- If there are two creators, connect them with an "and" e.g. Nicole Kondic and Kristina Büchner
- If there are several creators, separate them with comma and the last one and the one before the last one with "and" e.g. Nicole Kondic, Kristina Büchener, and Ulla Tschida
- If creators of type author and creators of type editor are given, only author(s) should appear in the citation. If only editor(s) is/are filled in, then they should appear as creators (followed by (ed) ).
- If year issued doesn't exist, then use year published online. If both exist, always use year issued. (No date other than "issued" or "published online" should appear in the citation. Exception: genre= manuscript. In this case, use dates in following order: date issued --> date published online --> date accepted --> date submitted --> date modified --> date created)
- If no source info is given, then don't display the phares "in, edited by". If only source.title exists, only display "in" NOT "edited by". If only Source.Creators exist, only display "edited by".
