imeji - Publish Your Scientific Media Data[edit]
imeji creates citable research assets by describing, enriching, sharing, exposing and linking data.
The software, based on the eSciDoc infrastructure offers a dedicated metadata management by supporting a non-restrictive metadata schema definition, as simple as liked or as complex as needed.
All objects within the imeji software have a unique identifier and therefore can be referenced in publications or reused in other contexts (dissemination). Large collections can be organized in different albums to focus special items of interest.

Why imeji?[edit]
The speciality of imeji is that is does not only store and share images, but that it also stores and shares the metadata values of the images. Metadata is not just restricted to free defined tags, but are maintained in a standardized manner that allows an advanced search based on metadata profiles. Therefore, images are easily retrievable. Further on, it offers persistent albums which can be cited in publications.
