Implementation approach

Phase 1

Aim:

• Digitisation of backfiles by external provider

• Store digitised material on eSciDoc.

• Entry point for searching/browsing in backfiles is external publisher (eSciDoc delivers article content in xml)

Requirements eSciDoc:

• Container Journal

• Articles in Journal

=> send (commented) xml schema and spec to digitisation provider (End of January 2008)

• offer xml for presentation on publisher homepage

• download pdf from eSciDoc

Browsing in back files (Journal-Volume-Issue-Article) on eSciDoc. Deadline: oct 2008

Phase 3

Extend prototype for presentation environment for digital collection of van Sengbusch Deadline: feb 2009
