Event: User Meeting of the Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek (EZB) on 15th of October 2013 in Regensburg

Summary: The Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek (Electronic Journals Library, EZB) is a service to facilitate the use of scholarly journals in the Internet. The project is developed and maintained by the library of the University Regensburg (UB Regensburg), but the service is delivered as a cooperative effort of more than 600 libraries.
The EZB team at the UB Regensburg organizes a user meeting once a year, bringing together representatives from the participating libraries and library consortias. The event is used to present the current status, to introduce new activities planned for the future and to provide the participating libraries with the opportunity to place and discuss new requirements. The "open forum" in the afternoon is used for user presentations which are not necessarily related to the EZB.

Begrüßung und Formales[edit]
Frau Dr. Eveline Hutzer und der Direktor der UB Regernsburg, Herr Dr. Rafael Ball, eröffneten das 16. EZB-Anwendertreffen und begrüßten die über 80 anwesenden EZB-Anwender.
TOP 1: Stand der Entwicklung[edit]
In der EZB sind 72.000 neue Titel aufgenommen worden. Im Vergleich zum Vorjahr waren es 64.000 neue Titelaufnahmen. Darüber hinaus wurde 65.000 Aggregatoren-Titel hinzugefügt. Momentan nutzen 605 Bibliotheken (Vorjahr 585) die EZB. Die Titelnutzung beträgt 16 Millionen Abfragen (Vorjahr 17,7 Millionen. Alle Angaben beziehen sich auf das Jahr 2012.
