Standards und Standardisierung[edit]

Zusammen mit dem Kompetenzzentrum Interoperable Metadaten (KIM [1]) und der DINI-Arbeitsgruppe "Internationale Standardisierung in der digitalen Informationsbeschaffung" (DINI-AG Standards [2]) möchten wir im Technology Watch Report Informationen sammeln, die aktuell empfohlene Standards und Verfahren für die Bereiche Datenformate, Kodierung, Datenaustausch und Langzeitarchivierung betreffen. Weiterhin sollen Informationen über relevante laufende Entwicklungen im Bereich Informationstechnologien (z.B. Semantic Web, Web-2.0), aber auch Informationen über aktuelle (inter-)nationale Initiativen in den Bereich "Digitale Bibliotheken", "Langzeitarchivierung" und "Vernetzung von Wissenszugangssystemen" einbezogen werden. Um den Austausch von -- und den Zugang zu -- Expertenwissen weiter zu erleichtern, ist ein weiterer wesentlicher Punkt das Sammeln und die Verlinkung von Veranstaltungen zu den genannten Themengebieten.

Standards and Standardization[edit]

Together with the "Kompetenzzentrum Interoperable Metadaten" (KIM [4]) and the DINI-Working-Group "Internationale Standardisierung in der digitalen Informationsbeschaffung" (DINI-AG Standards [5]) we want to collect information about recommended standards and procedures concerning data formats, encoding, data exchange, long-term archiving. Furthermore, we would like to collect information about relevant developments in information technology (e.g. Semantic Web, Web-2.0), and also informations about national and international initiatives concerning topics like "Digital Libraries", "Long-term Archiving", or "Cross-linking of Knowledge-systems". To facilitate knowledge exchange and access to expert knowledge we also collect information about meetings and conferences concerning the topics mentioned above.
