Description
- A picture list will be displayed within Imaji on several occasions:
- for browsing within a collection
- for the search results of a picture search
- when viewing selected pictures (e.g. through the metadata editing process)
- The list is always sorted per default based on the first 3 metadata values (the order will be defined when creation the Metadata Profile for the collection).
- The user can change the sorting order and the ascending/descending arrows.
- The user can change the hits per page, can go to a special page number, or can use a paginator for browsing the pages.
- The user can change the display type of the list:
- Tiled View (default display type)
- The pictures will be displayed together with the name of the collection, where they belong to.
- Bibliographic View
- Short
- The first 4 metadata values and their labels will be displayed (the order will be defined when creation the Metadata Profile for the collection).
- Medium
- The next 4 metadata values and their labels will be displayed (the order will be defined when creation the Metadata Profile for the collection).
- Short
- Grid View
- The same 4 metadata values of the Short Metadata View will be displayed.
- Grid View 3 Colums
- Only the first metadata value will be displayed (the order will be defined when creation the Metadata Profile for the collection).
- Tiled View (default display type)

Display Types[edit]
The default display type is always the Grid View.
- Picture View
- The album name is displayed (no label)
- The icon in the middle is the state of the item (as there are no more differentiation between "my albums" and "public albums", the states have to be more specific:
- private + I am the owner
- private + I am the owner + I share the album
- private + I share the album (someone else is the owner)
- published + I am the owner
- published + I shared the album( someone else is the owner)
- published + someone else is the owner
- withdrawn
- The icon in the right corner informs about the number of available note pads
- Metadata View (Bibliographic View in PubMan)
- Short
- Following metadata values and labels will be displayed
- (1) Album.Name, (2) Album.NumberOfPictures, (3) Album.Owner, (4) Album.State (it must be visible if an album is shared not)
- Medium
- All metadata from the short view and following metadata values and labels will be displayed
- (5) Album.Description, (6) Album.FurtherAuthors, (7) Album.DateLastModified, (8) Album.Owner.Affiliation
- Short
- Grid View
- The same 4 metadata values of the Short Metadata View will be displayed.
