The 7th annual meeting of the "International Group of Ex Libris users" (IGeLU) took place in Zürich, Switzerland from 11th to 13th September 2012. The meeting has been attended by Irina and Inga as well as by Regina Bost and Dr. Heise from the GWDG.

Summary: The conference was attended by almost 400 participants from over 30 countries worldwide. The user presentations focused on implementation issues in the Primo context, while the information about the status of the new Alma software (first site in production since July 2012) and the reports from the Alma Early Adopters received a lot of attention. In addition, Ex Libris introduced a new concept called Central Ex Libris Repository (CER). So far the concept remains quite vague, but it underlines Ex Libris overall strategy toward becoming a data provider in addition to a software company. Open Access and "making open access material visible" has been mentioned in several presentations as well.
