Problems[edit]
Prio A[edit]
- All authors after the first one are not imported (because the tag is only given in the first author line).
- Language is not imported.
- we postponed that because WoS does not use standardized language notation as we use in PubMan. The solution is more complicated --Kurt 08:00, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- "PD MAY 15" is not imported, but "PD AUG" is.
Prio B[edit]
- A CY date in a format like "CY MAY, 2004" is not accepted. However, it's quite frequent that only month and year are given, so the date recognition should be made more flexible.
- If a field contains a line break (e.g. in long article or conference titles), only the first line is imported!
- From the line "SAID EW, 1995, ORIENTALISM, P5" in the CR field, everything after "EW" is written into the "free keywords" field.
- If a conference proceedings doesn't give its book series as a 2nd source, it's confusing to give an ISSN.
Not clear[edit]
- Anonymous items ("AU [Anon]") are not accepted.
- Authors' and Editors' addresses are not mapped to "Affiliation", which instead says "External Organizations, , escidoc:persistent22".
