Just to prevent loose of thoughts on Validation service:

  • context of type "Validating" where all validation schemas should be placed
  • validation schemas will be referenced in the admin descriptor of a e.g. a specific PubMan context, Faces context
  • thus re-use of same validation schemas for many contexts will be possible
  • current validation database will cash information and will be sensitive to changes on e.g. daily basis (or when explicitly triggered)
  • we already have the possibility with current ContextHandler, ItemHandler
  • we need some more filtering options on ItemHandler (last-changed-since, context-id)
  • TODO: discuss on next escidoc developer workshop in KA
  • same stuff also for citation service
