Specification[edit]

Status: in specification

Schedule: R3.5

Pre-conditions[edit]

  • Extended publication and modification workflow (e.g. depositor can only submit an item when s/he creates it)
  • the following is only true for users, which have only moderator privileges (if they also have depositor rights, they have two workspaces a depositor one and a moderator one)

Moderator Workspace[edit]

  • moderator can see all items, which s/he has privilege as moderator
  • moderator can restrict the view on a specific collection and to a specific organizational unit or any child of the organizational unit
Shall we only take the org units from context (Problem: items added for other org units are lost in space, because they stay submitted and are never displayed in Moderator Workspace) ? --Haarlaender 12:07, 27 May 2008 (CEST)
Workarround: Filter by users instead of org units (User name should be related to org unit) ?? --Haarlaender 12:07, 27 May 2008 (CEST)
  • the default sorting is descending by date of creation/last change of the item, so that the newest entry is listed first

Questions/Needs of a moderator of the MPIPL[edit]

Pre-conditions:

  • current simple WF (items can only be directly released), so the moderator can only see released items
  • the following is only true for users, which have only moderator privileges (if they also have depositor rights, they have two workspaces a depositor one and a moderator)

I think currently we do not have separate depositor and moderator workspace, but just one workspace--Ulla 16:20, 6 May 2008 (CEST) Right, but in future it should be so. :-) --Nicole 17:05, 7 May 2008 (CEST)

Moderator WS[edit]

  • Which items have been entered for the MPIPL?

i.e. have at least one org unit from MPIPL attached--Ulla 16:20, 6 May 2008 (CEST) or better: which have at least MPIPL or a child of the MPIPL --Nicole 17:05, 7 May 2008 (CEST)

  • Which items have been entered for a special department/project of the MPIPL?
  • Show only the items, which I didn't check yet (for metadata quality reasons), show me the items I have checked yet, show me all items.

Proposal: show all items which have not been modified, show all items which have been modified. (User has no possibility to mark items as "checked")--Ulla 16:20, 6 May 2008 (CEST)

Modified by currently logged-in user, right? That would be possible with the filter actually. --Natasa 16:30, 6 May 2008 (CEST)
  • It should be possible to sort the item list by date of creation of the item. The newest item should be listed first.

In addition, sort by date of last modification.--Ulla 16:20, 6 May 2008 (CEST)

Administrative Search[edit]

= Future development--Ulla 16:20, 6 May 2008 (CEST)

  • Give all items, that have a specific field not filled (e.g. file locator, abstract)
  • give me all items with at least one full text attached
  • give me all items, which have no full text attached

maybe this can be integrated already in advanced search?--Ulla 16:20, 6 May 2008 (CEST)

  • give me all items, which have a full text with private access level
  • give me all items, which have a full text with public access level

Dummy Prototype[edit]
