Goobi is an workflow management tool developed by the Göttinger Digitalisierungszentrum (GDZ) which supports the digitization and indexing of all kind of intellectual works. Goobi splits up the digitization effort into manageable tasks and offers task-specific work spaces, e.g. for staff responsible to
- manage and prepare the digitization task
- scan the selected work
- execute the quality assurance and image improvement
- create metadata and structural maps (= collaborative web based editor for descriptive and structural metadata)
Goobi creates digital objects which are structured according to a specific METS profile.
