Anforderungen an Datenlieferung? DDS ist vom Format sehr schwergewichtig ("tiefe Verschachtelung"), andere Alternativen (OAI Harvester) waeren more appreciated. Wie ist der Status? Im Rahmen des PEER-Projekts werden Driver Guidelines implementiert, konkrete Verzoegerung
Wieviele Artikel kommen aus MPG? Laut Analyse von Herrn Wirsching werden etwa 40 Artikel pro Monat aus der MPG (Co-Author) publiziert, nur die
MPG muss eine Moeglichkeit erhalten, komplexe boolsche Suchanfragen auf Institutsnamen mit Einschraenkung auf "date of acceptance" zu stellen. Problem: Author affiliation is not part of the metadata record for the publication, but only available in a data element of Springers Production System.
1. internal data analysis (author / article data): number of mpg articles published, development of mpg articles over year, number of articles by discipline/journal/institution?
- difference: is MPG the corresponding author or not (could be that OC option is not choosen as many times when author
- which articles haven't been published under OC model
2. usage numbers:
- mpg oa articles: what percentage of usage is from licensed usage and which is not from licensed usage (manuelle Arbeit erforderlich, Sample size -> Sample/Muster wird erstellt von Springer, Margit schaut drauf). Nicht-lizenzierte Nutzung viel ueber automatisierte Tools, Download, Belastungstest -> DAMIT SOLL ANGEFANGEN WERDEN
- compare MPG oa articles to similar articles -> EVTL in der zweiten PHASE, da aehnliche Artikel nicht einfach selektiert werden können. (Sample-Analzyse)
3. direktes feedback von den Forschern? another idea b: end user befragung am ende des prozesses? abstimmung mit den diversen aktivitäten an Autorenbefragung notwendig (PEER/SOAP). Darüber hinaus wird es sehr ein schwierig werden, ein repräsentatives Errgebnis zu ehalten, neben reine kursatorischen Berichten. Methodik: Kann Margit delivern.
MPG to provide a list of all title variants to Springer, Springer to return complete list of metadata records.
