The Text Encoding Initiative (TEIText Encoding Initiative) Guidelines are an international standard for the representation and encoding of texts in digital form. The Guidelines are maintained and developed by the TEIText Encoding Initiative-Consortium. TEIText Encoding Initiative is an XMLExtensible Markup Language-based format, which is mainly used within the humanities (encoding of texts, linguistic annotation, etc.)
