• what has been changed in the metadata?
  • namespaces
  • some metadata element names (publication.creator.person.organization.organization-name => publication.creator.person.organization.title(dc), publication.creator.organization.organization-name => publication.creator.person.organization.title(dc) )
  • enum values (all except for "invitation-status" metadata) are turned into URIs
  • CONE identifiers (still open if we will turn them into URIs)

• Search&Export REST interface
  • will be backwards compatible, will also serve the old version of the profile (backward transformation)
  • also lucene indexing stylesheet will include generation of the old index publication.creator.organization.organization-name and the new index publication.creator.organization.title

• we will not handle both old and new versions in PubMan, only the new version will be handled in future
  • if in future there would be such large activities then we will handle all profiles in use

• migration procedure
  • will run on all items and container affected by the changed profiles
  • will run on contexts (change PubMan Admin descriptors with allowed genre types to new URI values)
  • will run for 1.1 core-service for certain
