UC_FAC_ME_02 Select pictures for editing[edit]

Pre-Condition

  • One collection is selected where the user is the owner
  • The collection is either in the state private or released

Description

  1. Before (batch) editing is possible, the pictures have to be selected in some way.
  2. It is only possible to select pictures for the batch editing that are within the same collection.
  3. The selection can include a filter functionality based on the already available metadata values
    1. technical metadata values: creation timestamp, device, resolution
    2. descriptive metadata value that have already been assigned to some pictures within the collection, e.g. via UC_FAC_ME_01 Scan filename
  4. A list of all (filtered) pictures within the collection is displayed. The user should have the option to choose between different display types:
    1. thumbnails of all pictures
    2. only the names of all pictures (list)
    3. thumbnails and names of all pictures
  5. The user selects one or several pictures (this could be up to one thousand)
  6. The system displays an information message which says how many pictures are currently selected.

Pre-Condition

Description

  1. The system displays an information message which says how many pictures are currently selected. Further on, there must be a possibility to view all the selected pictures.
  2. The whole metadata profile for the collection of the selected pictures is displayed.
  3. The users can define one or more metadata values for all the selected pictures.
    • When only one picture is selected, already available metadata values will be displayed as pre-filled in.
    • When the selected pictures have one or more metadata values in common, this value(s) will be displayed as pre-filled in.
  4. After saving, the system displays a confirmation message and assigns the defined metadata values to the pictures.
    • When one or several picture(s) already have a metadata value in one or more of the chosen fields, this value(s) will automatically be overwritten by the new value(s).
