Recommendation of the DFG
"Sichergestellt werden muss mindestens die Erreichbarkeit und Zitierbarkeit eines Werkes als Ganzem, künftig auch die Erreichbarkeit und Zitierbarkeit von einzelnen physischen Seiten von diesem Werk." [1]
Persistent Identification[edit]
Persistent identification in ViRR will be provided by assigning a handle from the handle system of the GWDG. Each resource in state 'released' will get this unique and persistent identifier.
The following resources will be identifiable with a handle:
- Each work
- Each scan
- Each ToC element
- The whole ViRR collection
